Dog Training

Does your dog pull on the lead?
Does he ignore you at the park?
Does he jump up at your guests?
Are you looking for ideas to have more fun with your dog?
Do you want help with your new puppy?

Dog Days have Training Classes for all ages and breed of dog. We run Puppy Socialisation Classes for the very young pups, Foundation Training Skills for older dogs and Reliable Recall Workshops for help in the great outdoors . Classes are run at our private and secure fields/training barn in Kelbrook; convenient for East Lancashire and Yorkshire.

If you cannot commit to regular classes then a one to one training session may be the option for you. These sessions can be held in your own home, on our secure field or at a local park. The location will depend on the behaviours being trained.

Does your dog bark and lunge at other dogs?
Does he growl when he is eating?
Is he distressed when left alone?

A one to one Behaviour Consultation in the comfort of your own home is the way forward to resolving these problems. An initial assessment is followed up by further training or behaviour modification sessions at home or out in the real world.

Lynn is a fully qualified, experienced and accredited dog trainer. In 2013 she graduated with a Foundation Degree in Canine Behaviour and Training from Bishop Burton College, near Hull and is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT UK) and the Pet Professional Guild (PPG).

The Pet Professional Guild is an international organisation aimed at pet professionals who only use force-free, positive methods of training. This means that the Dog Days team will never advocate or allow the use of punishment or aversives.
In 2013 following a rigorous assessment process Lynn was accepted as a member of the APDT UK (MAPDT 01201). This organisation promotes force free, reward based training.
